Tibetan Cranial

Known traditionally as “Thoba Khujatag” or skull moving, this special form of cranial work was historically developed and nurtured in Tibetan monastic environments. The oral tradition has been passed directly from teacher to apprentice over thousands of years. We respectfully refer to it in the Western world as Tibetan Cranial.

In working so directly with and awakening the cerebrospinal fluid, (which many cultures would consider our “liquid soul”), this work supports the remembering of our inherent self healing capacity. It carries the potential of powerful transformation for all aspects of the human experience; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The experience is navigated purely through pulse diagnosis and mantra, and the pulse reading and other techniques are unique to Tibetan Cranial.

People commonly experience further benefit from multiple sessions. Traditionally, people received sessions for seven consecutive days. Although the traditional commitment is more than many are inclined to make or to fit into their schedule, multiple sessions can be helpful even when spread out. Like peeling layers from an onion, multiple sessions can allow the work to penetrate to deeper levels of the body, mind, and spirit.

Tibetan Cranial is an ancient healing art designed to promote our innate capacity for self-healing. It uses subtle touch to the head, neck, face, palate and jaw based on a sophisticated assessment of pulses. The pulse reading and other techniques are unique to Tibetan Cranial, differing from those used in Cranial-Sacral Therapy and other healing arts. TC carries the potential of transformation on many levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Many people report pain reduction as well as relief from a wide variety of symptoms, including headaches, migraines, back and neck discomfort, whiplash, anxiety, head injury, concussion, stress-related conditions, TMJ pain, depression, nervous-system related issues, and many other health problems. Others have reported gaining more clarity of thought, insight into past traumas, and increased ability to work with emotional challenges.
